- Title origin: Believe it or not this was totally not a "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" reference; its origins lie solely in "Darkwing Duck" itself, specifically the episode "A Star Is Scorned". Gos's tagline to her "movie" is a direct quote from there, too ("They killed her friends and STOLE her Dad!").

- References: "Battle Lizard" is a reference to Godzilla; "Frankenduck" is obvious *G*; "Carbon-Based Lifeforms from the Planet Uru" is three-in-one: a reference to one of my own prior fics, a play on elaborate horror movie titles, and a reference to "Urusei Yatsura"; the "Glob" is the Blob; Danny Elfman's Music For a Darkened Theatre; the video to Michael Jackson's "Thriller"; Darkwing episodes "A Star Is Scorned" and "Attack of the Brainteasers".

- Plotwise I think I had some minor influence from an episode of "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" which used to air on Nickelodeon when I was a kid. I tried to make it a little less dumb, though. ^_~ Thematically I think I was also attempting to channel Stephen King, a practice I got moderately better at over time.

- The writing at the beginning is deliberately hokey, in an attempt to call to mind a not-quite-scary horror movie. I have no real idea what's happened to that guy during HIS horror movie, but whatever it was, I don't think a lot of people really care. Gos didn't give the impression it was any good. *G*

- Someone pointed out to me - I think (actually it might've been ME) - that the rest of the story is fine, but the last-minute angst is really not needed. Couldn't agree more. If I were interested in going back and rewriting these, I would change that for sure.

- Best parts of the story are without a doubt Gosalyn kicking zombie butt. Heck, it's what the story is supposed to be about. ^_~ I got a little teeny bit spooked writing Zombie Launchpad, too; you'll notice I couldn't bring myself to make him fall apart. :P I'm just a big softie. 9_9

- It's funny to look at all three of these and realize that this one is the only one without any sort of happy ending, and yet it's certainly the least really effective one of the three. The Honker one is the most scary, and the Morgana one is just a little funny with a mild twist of creepyweird. *G*
