Full name: Negaduck, as far as we know. No one's ever mentioned his real name, though it might
be Drake Mallard.
Age: Approximately the same as Darkwing Duck?
Appearance: Identical to Darkwing, only more menacing. In terms of design his outfit is the same,
but in a different colour scheme: red hat with black band, black mask, red turtleneck, yellow jacket,
black cape. Oh, and black buttons. *g* He's rarely seen out of this outfit, and has never been seen without
the black mask (unless you count the original "Negaduck" episode).
First Appearance: "Negaduck".
Relationship to Darkwing: Darkwing's arch-enemy. The original Negaduck is Drake's evil side, composed
entirely of negatrons and thus a very nasty guy. The later Negaduck's exact relationship to Darkwing
isn't really known - he could be the same Negaduck, or Darkwing's opposite from the Negaverse, or Darkwing's
identical but evil cousin, or Darkwing's twin brother, or a guy who coincidentally looks exactly like Darkwing
but is evil. Who knows.
Known relatives: None, though he is NegaGosalyn's guardian.
Occupation: Evil, rotten, all around nasty guy.
Special Skills: Proficient with many weapons; smart; good planner; high level of
self-confidence (to put a nice spin on it); good leadership skills, if you see leading through
intimidation as "good".
Quirks: Appears to have some sort of nervous reaction to the Little Lost Bunnies;
hates flowers, but has a strangely positive reaction to skulls; wears skull boxer shorts as
a matter of fact; manages to pull heavy artillery out from behind his back.
Episodes: "Negaduck" (origin), "Going Nowhere Fast", "The Secret Origins of Darkwing Duck", "Just Us Justice Ducks I&II", "Life, the Negaverse, and Everything", "Bad Luck Duck", "Darkwing Doubloon", "Disguise the Limit", "Jail Bird", "Let's Get Respectable", "The Quiverwing Quack", "My Valentine Ghoul", "Malice's Restaurant"
Is it just possible that Negaduck is Darkwing's most dangerous enemy? Behind Dr. Slug, that is. Like many of Darkwing's recurring villains, Negaduck is not exactly what you'd call "sane". However, unlike most of these enemies, Negaduck is not stupid. He's extremely intelligent, not afraid to take a risk, and to top all that off, he doesn't have a remorseful bone in his body. No crime is too great, too violent, or too just-plain-mean. And for some reason, this seems to make Negs an incredibly attractive character to some fan femmes... *shrug* Now, me, I don't generally go in for the psychotic type. But I suppose some women can find an appeal in the "outlaw" character... I'd be more likely to go for Bushroot, personally... ^_~
Er, well, I digress. Negaduck was introduced into the series fairly early on, although there have been two "versions" of him that have appeared on the show. Although many of the characters on the show went through at least small developments in personality, Negaduck's was the most lasting. From his early episodes to his later ones, you can see him get more nasty, more intelligent, and on the whole, more dangerous. As the only character on the show to have that serious an impact, Negaduck can then certainly be called Darkwing's most dangerous enemy. Except of course, for the elusive Dr. Slug, who beat Negaduck for the "Public Enemy #1" slot a while ago. But, uh, don't mention that while Negs is around...
