Like with many voice actors and actresses, I would like to be able to provide you with some biographical
data about Ms. Soucie, but unfortunately most voice-over actors manage to remain safely anonymous. At least to
IMDB and Voice Chasers. *G*
However, as far as Kath's voiceography goes, I can say a few things. First of all, Kath rivals Jim Cummings
among the Darkwing cast for most roles played. I'd say that, next to Tress MacNielle, she's become
the top female voice-over artist out there. With a huge amount of roles listed at IMDB -
seventy-five, and actually, they forgot Darkwing and probably a few others - she's got an
enormous resume already and continues to rise in popularity.
Kath seems to have gotten her start doing somewhat generic voices; the earliest v.o. work listed for her
was in "Jem!" in 1986, and after that she joined the cast of "The Real Ghostbusters" as Janine Melnitz. In '88
she did some work on "Raggedy Ann and Andy" and then, in '89, played Kitty Pryde
(a red-haired Kitty Pryde, oddly, though that will mean nothing to people who don't know Kitty *G*)
in a pilot for an X-Men animated series that was never picked up. Now, I never heard the Raggedy Anne role,
but I heard all the others, and I can say that - they're essentially the same voice. Just a woman, kind of
a high voice, but nothing special. Also, having been a big fan of RGB before it was on Saturday AMs on ABC,
I liked Kath's version of Janine... I guess... but I really preferred the original and though I don't hold
it against Kath herself... the character really suffered. (Although, to make amends, I saw some of
the later episodes and Kath really grew into the character. She sounded a lot better in the last season.)
In any case, I would say that it's not that surprising that, once Kath got a couple of recurring roles on
"Tiny Toon Adventures" in 1990, her career started taking off. The thing about the two parts she was playing,
Fifi LaFume and Little Sneezer, was that both of them were very different from the voices she'd done
'til then. Sneezer was that really cutesy voice you've probably heard her do as Lil on "Rugrats", and
Fifi was a hoot - total airheaded French bimbo. I loved her. *G* Shortly after this came both
"Darkwing Duck" and "Rugrats" - on which she plays three different roles, all different, yet similar
since they're in the same family. From there - most likely because of "Rugrats", 'cause that show has done
so well that essentially everyone who has been in it has had a great career since - things really took off.
Where initially you'd hear Kath mostly in kids-focused cartoons, and generally doing the "little girl" voice,
she is now everywhere. Checking out the latest entries at IMDB, she's shown up in "Futurama", "Spawn",
"God, the Devil, and Bob", "Olive, the Other Reindeer", "Clerks: The Animated Series"... The woman is hot
today.
What I really liked about Morgana, however, was that it gave Kath a chance to really branch out. Morgana is
not the cutesy voice, the generic woman voice, or the little boy voice (the one she uses for
Phil on "Rugrats"). Instead, she's throaty, seductive, mysterious - something which Kath hadn't really had
the chance to do before. She also got to show off her comedic timing - "Ghoul of My Dreams" has some of the
best line deliveries in her many ep appearances, I think. There's a lot of variation in the role, a lot of
personality coming through in the deliveries, and I think Kath really deserves the great and varying career
she's had. Let's give her a hand, folks. ;)

And now, as always, a voiceography - abbreviated, naturally, 'cause there are too many
roles to list:
...And I'm sure there will be more to come. *g*
