Honker Muddlefoot

Full name: Herbert "Honker" Muddlefoot, Jr.
Age: Nine
Appearance: The quintessial nerdy kid, with a gigantic pair of glasses, an ever-present backpack of reference books, and a very tidy well-groomed hairstyle - except for that cowlick in the back. Honker is a goose, with yellow plumage. He usually wears a green shirt with one button in the centre.
First Appearance: Not known - presumably "That Sinking Feeling".
Relationship to Darkwing: Drake's next-door neighbour, and Drake's daughter's best friend.
Known relatives: Father, Herbert; mother, Binkie; older thug-like brother, Tank.
Occupation: Nine-year-old elementary school student.
Special Skills: Smarter than the average member of the show's cast, brilliant in science and math in particular. Also a very good artist.
Quirks: Stutters, particularly when under pressure; has twice saved the world from alien hats; lets himself get talked into pretty much everything by Gosalyn; incapable of lying (Gosalyn's lessons never took).
Episodes: "That Sinking Feeling", "Battle of the Brainteasers", "A Brush With Oblivion", "Calm a Chameleon", "Duck Blind", "A Revolution In Home Appliances", "Aduckyphobia", "Bearskin Thug", "Toys Czar Us", "Getting Antsy", "Life, the Negaverse, and Everything", "Night of the Living Spud", "Trading Faces", "Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlatan", "The Secret Origins of Darkwing Duck", "Going Nowhere Fast", "When Aliens Collide", "Dances With Bigfoot", "The Incredible Bulk", "Quiverwing Quack, "Whirled History", "Let's Get Respectable", "It's A Wonderful Leaf", "Twin Beaks", "Star-Crossed Circuits", "Steerminator", "Return of the Revenge of the Brainteasers, Too", "Malice's Restaurant"

Honker has always reminded me a little bit of Macaulay Culkin in the movie "My Girl"; a timid nerdy (blond?) boy in thick glasses, who happens to be the closest friend to his exact opposite: a tough, tomboyish girl who runs the show when they're together. Unlike Mac in "My Girl", Honker hasn't died and as far as we know he's not allergic to bee stings; but the parallel is there, and so is the special and rather important relationship between Honker and Gosalyn.

Honker is, in a way, the common sense and level head that Gosalyn desperately needs. Whether she listens to him is another matter entirely. ;) Honker has a scientific explanation for almost every event, and often has a scientific way out of a lot of Darkwing's problems. And he's just such a little cutey, I think. :)
